Respera Australia recruits people in Australia for market research. This page explains how we handle information you provide when joining our research community or contacting us about a project.

Information we collect

Our registration form asks for your name, email, optional phone number, date of birth, location, work and household details, languages, education, research interests and participation preferences. We may later ask separate study-specific screening questions and keep records of invitations and participation. If an agency contacts us, we collect the details included in its enquiry.

Please do not send identity documents, bank details or sensitive health information through the general registration form.

Why we use it

We use your profile to identify research opportunities that may suit you, check eligibility, invite you to studies, coordinate participation and respond to your requests. Joining does not guarantee an invitation. Each study is optional.

Who may receive information

We use Airtable to collect and manage registrations and Google Workspace for email. If you express interest in a particular study, we may share the details needed for screening and coordination with the research agency commissioning that study, including an agency outside Australia. We will explain relevant study arrangements when inviting you. We do not publish your registration profile or sell the participant contact list.

Storage outside Australia

Airtable's standard data region is the United States; its Australian data residency option is available to certain enterprise customers. Our service providers and research clients may process information outside Australia. Contact us before registering if you would like to discuss overseas handling of your details.

Your choices

You may decline any research invitation. Email us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to stop contacting you and remove your registration. We will respond and explain if we need to retain any information for a legitimate administrative or legal reason.

Contact hello@respera.com.au with privacy questions, access or correction requests, or a complaint about our handling of your information. We will review your concern and respond. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
